What Webflow costs beyond the advertised price

Each of these is a figure you can check on the vendor's own page. The arithmetic is shown so you can redo it rather than take our word for it.

  1. Charged on top of a plan$588 a year

Workspace Growth is charged on top of a plan rather than instead of one: $49 a month, which is $588 a year on top of whichever tier you hold.

    Working$49 a month x 12 = $588 a year, added to a tier price rather than replacing it.

  2. Charged on top of a plan$468 a year

Full seat is charged on top of a plan rather than instead of one: $39 a month, which is $468 a year on top of whichever tier you hold.

    Working$39 a month x 12 = $468 a year, added to a tier price rather than replacing it.

Computed from the plan table on Webflow pricing , read 20 August 2026

Fixed mechanics above add $1,056 a year to the advertised price. Usage-dependent charges are listed but not summed, because a figure that depends on how much you use cannot be added to one that does not.

What Webflow actually costs over a year

A monthly price is not the same thing as a monthly contract. These are the plans above resolved both ways, per seat or unit where the plan is charged that way. Where a vendor quotes only a yearly figure it is divided by twelve rather than left out, and the Quoted column says which figure the vendor actually publishes.

Cancelling Webflow, and getting money back

Read from the published Webflow terms on 18 September 2026. These are the terms, not legal advice: consumer law where you live may give you rights the terms do not mention.

Webflow refund and cancellation terms, verified 18 September 2026
Refund window14 days
When you cancelPaid features run to the end of the billing period. Cancel immediately instead and no credit is issued for the unused time, and a site goes offline straight away.
Changing mid-termThe 14 days cover a new Site or Workspace plan on either cadence. Renewals, add-ons, seats, AI credits and bandwidth auto-upgrades are all non-refundable; a cancelled add-on becomes account credit, which cannot be cashed out.
Your data afterwardsOn a cancelled Site plan the custom domains are removed and the site is unpublished from both the custom domain and its webflow.io subdomain. The project stays in the Workspace.

Two pricing axes, not one

This is where every Webflow quote goes wrong. There are site plans, paid per published site, and platform plans, paid for the workspace your team designs in. A single site with two designers needs both. Budget them together, because pricing one and forgetting the other is the standard mistake.

The structure has changed, and the gap is large

At the time we checked, site plans were Starter (free), Basic at $15 and Premium at $25, replacing the older Basic, CMS and Business ladder. Above them, the platform Team plan is $2,500 a month on an annual contract.

That is a very steep step. A five-person marketing team that would previously have paid a modest per-seat workspace fee now faces either the site plans alone or an enterprise-scale commitment. If you evaluated Webflow more than a year ago, re-price it before assuming your old numbers hold.

The CMS is why people stay

Collections behave like a real content model: types, fields, references between them, and templates that render dynamically. That means a case-study library or a 300-post blog stays maintainable, where Wix and Squarespace start to strain and Framer hits collection limits. If your content plan looks like a publication rather than a brochure, this is the deciding feature.

Who should not choose it

Webflow expects you to understand flex, grid, positioning and inheritance. Given to someone who does not, it produces worse results than a constrained template builder, more slowly. The honest test: if “why is this element not centring” is not a question you can answer, Squarespace will serve you better.
