What Deel actually costs over a year

A monthly price is not the same thing as a monthly contract. These are the plans above resolved both ways, per seat or unit where the plan is charged that way. Where a vendor quotes only a yearly figure it is divided by twelve rather than left out, and the Quoted column says which figure the vendor actually publishes.

The capture exists, but the figures on it could not be extracted - usually a page that renders prices in JavaScript, or a currency selector the archive did not record. Listed rather than dropped, because a gap in a price history reads as "nothing changed" and these are not that.

  • 7 February 2023 - capture - no plan name sat next to a published figure in this capture

Compiled 18 September 2026 from the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Plan names were matched against the archived page text and the first currency-anchored figure within 160 characters was recorded, rejecting any figure with a competing plan name standing between it and the name it was matched to. The currency and the unit were read from each capture rather than assumed: captures served in a currency other than $, and captures where no plan name sat beside a figure, are listed as unread rather than dropped. 4 plan series were read from these captures and then discarded, because the most recent capture did not reproduce the price we verified on the live page. Only plans the extraction demonstrably reads correctly are published here. Archived pages show the price as served to the archive's crawler, which may differ by region from the price you are shown.

Deel pricing against its competitors

Compared on the smallest invoice each vendor will accept, not on the advertised per-seat rate. Where a product has a seat minimum, the figure below is the minimum times the rate, because that is the cheque you would actually write.

Which Deel plan should you buy?

Recommended Deel plan by situation
Your situationRecommendedWhy

Your contractors look a lot like employeesContractor of Record$325 transfers misclassification risk to Deel. Whether the $276 premium is worth it is a legal question, not a software one.
You want to employ someone abroad with no local entityEOR$599 per employee a month, and cheap against incorporating in a country you are only testing.

You have roughly ten or more staff in one countryPrice your own entity insteadTen EOR employees is about $72,000 a year in fees alone, which approaches the cost of a local entity with payroll and accounting.

Priced per service, not per plan

Deel does not sell tiers. It sells services, each with its own per-person monthly price:

ServicePriceWhat it covers
Find talent$14 per worker/monthSourcing, screening, offers
Hire contractors$49 per contractor/monthContracts, invoicing, payment
Contractor of Record$325 per contractor/monthDeel becomes the contracting party
US PEO$125 per employee/monthCo-employment in all 50 states
EOR$599 per employee/monthLegal employment in 130+ countries

This is unusually transparent for the category, and it means you can model a budget without a sales call. It also means costs add up rather than bundle: recruiting five people, running eight contractors and employing two abroad is three separate lines.

At the time we checked, Deel was advertising US PEO free for three months as a limited-time offer. Time-limited offers expire, so treat that as a reason to ask rather than a rate to plan on.

When EOR stops being the cheap option

Employer of record is excellent value for your first hire in a country and poor value for your twentieth. At $599 a month, ten employees in one country is roughly $72,000 a year in EOR fees alone, which is in the region of what incorporating and running a local entity costs, with payroll and accounting on top.

The rule of thumb worth applying: use EOR to enter a market and test it, and revisit once headcount there reaches somewhere around five to ten people. Deel also sells global payroll for entities you own, so the migration path exists.

Contractor of Record is insurance, priced accordingly

The jump from $49 to $325 buys a transfer of risk. Under Contractor of Record, Deel becomes the party engaging the contractor and carries the misclassification exposure. Whether that is worth $276 a month per person depends entirely on your jurisdiction and how genuinely independent your contractors are.

For clearly independent contractors invoicing for project work, the $49 product is enough. For long-term, full-time-looking contractors in a country with aggressive enforcement, the premium is cheaper than a reclassification finding. That is a question for a lawyer, not a software directory, and anyone telling you otherwise is guessing.

Against Rippling

Rippling is the broader platform and covers IT and spend as well as HR, but it publishes no prices. Deel is the specialist for hiring across borders and tells you what it costs. If global employment is the problem you actually have, start here.

Provenance and freshness

What has changed

  1. August 2026

    • Corrected the PEO offer's end date from an estimated 30 September to the vendor-stated 31 December 2026. Deel's promotion terms publish a window requiring an order form executed between 15 July and 31 December 2026, so the earlier note claiming no end date was published was wrong.
    • Contractor and EOR entry prices re-verified at $49 and $599 per month.
  2. August 2026

    • Per-service pricing verified across recruiting, contractors, PEO and EOR
    • Recorded a time-limited PEO offer of three months free
    • Added plan picker and verdicts
